Terms & Conditions - the basics
Terms and Conditions – Prestige Home Improvement
1. Quotations & Estimates

All quotations provided by Prestige Home Improvement are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

Prices may be subject to change if additional work is required beyond the scope initially agreed.
2. Bookings & Scheduling
-
Work will be scheduled at the earliest mutually convenient date, weather permitting.

Any delays due to adverse weather, material shortages, or other factors beyond our control will be communicated promptly.
3. Payments
-
A deposit may be required before work begins (typically 25–50% of the total cost).

The balance is due immediately upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Payments can be made via bank transfer or cash. Full payment details will be provided on your invoice.
4. Workmanship Guarantee
-
We offer a [5/10]-year guarantee on new roof installations and a [12-month] guarantee on repairs, unless otherwise stated.

Guarantees apply only to workmanship, not to damage caused by external factors such as storms, vandalism, or structural issues unrelated to our work.
5. Materials
-
All materials used will be of suitable quality and installed in accordance with industry standards.

If specific materials are requested, these must be agreed in writing prior to work commencing.
6. Customer Responsibilities
-
The customer is responsible for ensuring safe and clear access to the property for our team and equipment.

Any known hazards (e.g., asbestos, structural weaknesses) must be disclosed before work starts.
7. Cancellation
-
Cancellations must be made in writing at least 48 hours before work is due to begin.

Late cancellations may incur a fee to cover costs already incurred (e.g., materials, scheduling).
8. Liability
-
Prestige Home Improvement carries full public liability insurance.
-
We are not liable for damage to property caused by pre-existing structural defects or failure to disclose relevant information.
9. Waste & Clean-Up
-
All waste generated by our work will be cleared from site unless agreed otherwise.

We strive to maintain a tidy site and minimise disruption wherever possible.
10. Dispute Resolution
-
In the unlikely event of a dispute, we will aim to resolve the matter swiftly and professionally.

If a resolution cannot be reached, mediation or independent advice may be sought.
